Founded by noted community and prison reform advocate Ms. Saymendy Lloyd, The Women’s Wing Organization, (Inc., a 501.c3 entity) is a non-profit community outreach group based upon spiritual principles. "Soaring along the path upon which we have been called," Women’s Wing dares to enter those territories where depredations are a hindrance in equitable humane treatment. One of Women's Wing's core goals is to prevent incarceration and reduce recidivism in our local correctional system by creating a system of advocacy to strengthen our communities and return productive citizens to our ranks. Women's Wing believes in seeking to reach those that society has forgotten, providing participant's opportunities to and make a mark in the lives of those they pass along the way.

 

Woman's Wing and Mrs. Saymendy Lloyd have provided over 20 years of service to incarcerated citizens as well as families and communities throughout the Washington D.C- Area, as well as across the country and the throughout Africa. Mrs. Lloyd has earned numerous awards for her work with disenfranchised community members, displaced Katrina victims, incarcerated citizens, and Liberian refugees.
